Happy new year to you as we start off 2026! This post covers your feedback, a new feature, and upcoming features.

Feedback For 2025

A big thanks to everyone who sent in feedback. This year 110 feedback submissions were received! These included bugs, requested features, and requested tracks. Your feedback helps drive what gets added, so please keep it comming.

Save button

This most recent release on Dec 31 2025 includes the addition of an explict Save button. Previously the the app would save your design when you used one of the menu buttons to navigate to a different screen. Now you can use the Save button on the main menu to force a save.

This was a user requested feature so keep that feedback comming!

Upcoming work

In addition to the published updates, work is also going on behind the scenes with the app. An upcoming feature is adding the outline of the track (either the roadbed or the tie width) instead of just the centerline. This will help provide a better sense of scale and make sure that you aren’t overlapping track peices.

The tracks will also be easier to select with an outline. You can click or tap anywhere inside of a track to select it. In many cases this will provide a bigger target than the four pixel wide click target that existed around the track centerline.
