Kato Compact Track

Kato Unitrack compact track pieces are now in TrackPlanner.app!

This release adds some smaller radius curves to the N scale Unitrack library as well as the two compact turnouts that use the 150 mm (6 inch) subsitution radius. These are available in the CV1, CV2 and CV3 track sets as well as individually from Kato.

Design using Kato Unitrack compact track curves and the 90° degree crossing that use's Unitracks standard 33 mm track spacing

The newly added parts include:

117 mm (4⅝ inch) curve
150 mm (6 inch) curve
183 mm (7 inch) curve
Compact Right turnout
Compact Left turnout

In addition it adds the core of the 90° crossing. The 90° crossing was previously available as the assembled version that includes the 45.5 mm straight pieces on either side making it a replacement part for the 124 mm (4⅞ inch) straight. The newly added core is the 33 mm crossing section only. This allows the creation of multiple crossings that maintain the 33 mm track spacing as shown in Kato’s 90° crossing documentation.
