We’ve got some exciting news for you — trackplanner.app is leveling up once again! Today we are releasing a new track library for Lionel O Scale FasTrack. This library is packed with the curves, straights, switches, and crossings that Lionel model railroaders have come to love. If you are looking for inspriation Lionel has a collection of FasTrack plans on their website as well.

This update gives a big upgrade to how keyboard access works.

This update changes the behavior of the handles that appear at the track joints.

More ways to size the layout, a new track library, and bug fixes in this update!

The app has been able to do undo and redo since the first release. However it was only accessible using the keyboard shortcuts of Ctrl+Z and Ctrl+Shift+Z. That meant that users on touch devices, and users not familiar with keyboard shortcuts were missing out on this awesome ability.

This release adds the ability to see a count of all the parts used in your layout. No more having to count parts by hand.

A track planning app is not useful if it doesn’t have the type of track you want to use.

If you are tired of having to keep opening the parts menu to add new parts, this update is for you. It leaves the parts menu open on side and allows you to drag parts from the menu into the layout.

The goal of the app is to let anyone make a track plan. In order to support this goal, it has to be easy to learn and easy to work with.

The second version of the beta for TrackPlanner.app is finally here! The process has been slow over the past two years working on it on and off.
